Technologies of Cross-Domain Data Exchange

Technical Overview Cross-Domain Data Catalog Search

Cross-Domain Data Catalog Search

Today, we can access many data resources, including open data from public organizations and proprietary APIs from private companies. However, there is no efficient way to find the data we need. This is why we have focused on data catalogs in Cross-Domain Data Exchange. We have developed a function to search across data catalogs that currently exist for each organization and support the efficient search for data.

Technical Points

1. Cross-Domain Data Catalog Search

We have developed a cross-domain data catalog search function that collects information from data catalogs prepared by various organizations and makes it searchable.
In Japan, the government and local governments have already released a lot of data on data catalog sites, and we are currently collecting such data catalog information through this service.

It is developed based on CKAN, a globally popular OSS for data catalog systems, and can be accessed with a web browser and searched with simple operations.
